Jen was born in Miami, Florida and at an early age, her parents moved south to Marathon, Florida Keys to be closer to a large extended family. Jen recalls her musical beginnings with her favorite toys being a new guitar and piano. Playing music has always been natural for her.

As Jen moved into her teens, she added saxophone and drums to her musical repertoire. Her 12-string guitar was never far from her side. A flair for song-writing soon emerged.

Jen admits a love of poetry is in her Latin blood. Both her grandfather and her mother are extraordinary poets. When she began to write lyrics, her first poems reflected the angst of a teenager. Her first few songs could have been classified as Anger Management 101. That phase passed as she matured as a person and a songwriter.

With a glimpse back at her past, it comes as no surprise that Jen has grown into a regionally renowned musician-songwriter. As a young female acoustic guitar solo artist, she sings original material spanning several styles of music from rock to blues. According to her fans, Jen's artistic strength is her power-pack live performance, her energy triggering comparisons to a bevy of heavyweight artists from Melissa Etheridge and Heart to Janis Joplin.

With such a high profile buzz, prominent entertainers have sought her out. Clarence Clemons of E-Street Band fame jammed with her at a Keys festival saying "Girl, you are on your way". He's still in touch, playing with her when paths cross. Jen has been polishing her act by opening for Rick Derringer, .38Special, Nick Carter, recently on a movie project and a "hush hush" rehearsal currently going on in Los Angeles.

You can find Jen now popping up between the Florida Keys, Los Angeles and Nashville or in a studio working on new songs.
